The coffee sector is faced with many pressing issues, including tackling and adapting to climate change, scarcity of water, lack of interest from the next generation of coffee growers, aging and unproductive coffee trees, inadequate access to finance, issues of gender equality, or the responsible use of pesticides, among others. These issues can’t be solved by individual actors or organizations - broader collaboration is required. As the global platform for sustainable coffee, the 4C Association channels the efforts of its diverse multi-stakeholder membership and network to address such challenges in a collaborative and non-competitive way.
