The 4C Association presented its annual report on the occasion of its 7th Council meeting in Hamburg, documenting major achievements and growth. As per the end of 2009, 4C membership amounted to 129 members, representing an increase of 30 percent in comparison to the previous year. Growth was especially significant across coffee producers, traders and roasters.

The first 4C Sustainability Forum in Brazil brought together the different actors in the Brazilian coffee sector. More than 40 participants representing farmers, exporters, trade houses, coffee industry, civil society, research, partner organizations, verifiers, trainers and government met in Poços de Caldas to exchange experiences and jointly define the future strategic direction of the 4C Association in the country.
